Last weekend, we had a few weddings to attend to and so, Grace (with the help of her uncle and aunt) got into the mood of playing bride! She was so excited and requested for a long "tail". If I tie it to short, she will "snarl" (a little exaggerate) at me. When the "tail" got all crumple up, she "snarl" at me again. Hahaha....

Journalling: We had a few wedding to attend that weekend. So you got into the mood (with the help of your "shu shu" & "shen shen") to become the bride yourself. Gave us a good time of laugh. You even shocked us saying that you are getting married.

Today we let Grace sleep in a little late, just because I made her wake up at 5.30am to take medicine and she could only dozed off half an hour later. After which, she was full of energy for almost the whole day!
We went for brunch then shopping. At the mention of shopping, Grace just sparks up. After shopping, I went down to my uncle's place to get some flowers for tomorrow. There, Grace was having fun looking at the fishes and cycling. Then we went to a local stationery shop to get some envelopes before heading home. It was almost 2pm when we finally reached the comfort of our home.
We decided to have another round of food, guess it should be lunch-tea, of just bread, egg and ham. Grace enjoyed the ham. It was then time for afternoon nap. That's what the adults think! Not the kiddo! She wants to play BALL! So daddy had to play with her, while mummy hang the clothes.
Later, both mummy and daddy couldn't "help" it anymore, and we decided to take our rest and nap, hoping Grace would slowly go to sleep when there's no one to entertain her. Well, think again! I was half asleep (it's my habit, I couldn't really doze off when I know Grace is still awake, for fear that she might be caught up in dangerous actions), and we were so, so wrong about Grace. She continued to play and play and play, talk and talk and talk, pretend and pretend and pretend. Sleep and sleep and sleep is just not in her to-do-list!
At certain point, Grace came to me and said, "Let daddy sleep. Come on, we go outside." The mummy, speechless!
Finally we gave up. And guess what? At about 5.45pm, Grace got scolded from me (not going to details), cried and went straight on to dreamland. Sigh.
She was asleep for about 45 minutes and she was up and jumping around again.
What time did she go to bed tonight? 10.50pm! What did she do before that? Playing lots of games with daddy!
You must be thinking, aren't it a little early for this post? Well, when it comes to remembering and honouring our fathers, everyday is father's day. And, when there's a reason and idea to scrap, there's never a time too late or a time too early!
Well, in celebrating Father's Day in June, Scrap-n-Crop.com's kit club has put together a "Dad My Hero" kit for June. Being a member of the club, the kit was mailed to me together with my other purchase on Wednesday. When I first open up the kit, I looked at it and then go blank! It was totally not my style at all. I like bright colours, girlish and flowery style, not brown, vintage and boyish style! I looked and looked and looked again. What to do with all these? This is really a challenge to me.
Well, after going through the kit over and over and over again, I finally "saw" this piece of patterned paper and I knew what I can do with it. This,
Journalling ~ Your daddy's shoulder is always your shoulder to cry on whenever I scold you. And daddy is always the one carrying you when there's a lot of walking to do. Always remember that daddy is always there for you and now he works so hard, all because of you. Daddy used to be afraid of flying insects, but now, so as to protect you, he overcome his fear. Remember, Your Daddy is Your Hero!

What to do with the rest of the materials in the kit? Well, I planned to make a vintage family album, "The Chees" Mini Album. Now collecting all the photos and once done I will set sail and create!

Guess what?
First, I receive an email from Avina, congratulating me that I won her blog candy over at Crafting in a crazy world. Thank you so much Avina. This is indeed my first time ever winning a candy over the internet. I will have a post later on when I receive the prize.
Second, for those whom had been following my blog, you may know that I've been submitting numerous layouts to the Color Me Daisy "Be Happy" May 2009 Online Crop challenges over the pass few weeks. And today, after putting my little Grace to her afternoon nap, I checked my email and there it was an email notifying me that I am one of the winners. I will be expecting a Basic Grey Porcelain Collection Kit.
Woohoo....I will be anticipating 2 happy mails!
Two wins in a day! Great! And today, the mail man delivered a parcel of scrapbooking stuff to my door. These, although were selected and ordered by myself, they were paid jointly by sister, brother, parents and mother-in-law as a birthday present for me. Have not had a chance to see the stuff physically yet, will have to play with them when I return home tonight. Stay tune for a photo of these items.
I can't possibly stress more on how grateful and thankful I'm to God for blessing me with this precious little girl. Though many times, I were mad at her, there are even more times when I'm in love with her. She really brings lots of joy and laughter not only to me and hubby but also to both our families. She's a gem to her grandparents, her aunts, her uncles, her everyone. She's a precious to me!
I'm so so so so (infinity times) glad that we have EACH OThER.

Today is my birthday, I'll cry if I want to ?!? No way! Who's crying on one's birthday? Definitely not me. Though my birthday was not as planned, I'm still accepting it with a big smile and feel blessed.
Grace was not feeling well for the pass few days, cough and running nose. She'd recover from her earlier fever, but then continue with cough and running nose. On Friday I started her all over again on the medicine. Then this morning, she'd got slight fever and we decided to take her to the doctors again. What a way to start your birthday!
Initially it was planned that Moses take leave on my birthday so that he could help care for Grace while I can scrap till I drop. Now, with Grace not feeling well, not a chance! So, my day continued with cooking lunch for Grace and trying to make her sleep the whole afternoon.
During evening, we headed out for shopping in Gurney Plaza. I wanted to get a handbag. Window shopped and found nothing. Worst still, I get scolding, from hubby? Nope, get scolding from Grace when I make any attempt to enter a shop. Sigh....then the moment I step inside Toys R Us, Grace was running ahead of me into the shop...sigh sigh sigh...
Nevertheless, Grace somehow got into a better mood during dinner. We had dinner at a seafood restaurant, Bali Hai, which let you choose live seafood. Grace decided to feed herself throughout the dinner. And she enjoyed the dinner too. Phew.....
