Project Life Week 8

This week: Elise had a major meltdown which lasted about 1 hour, passport renewal, online shopping, painting, badminton training, yet another girls only shopping trip...

The painting session was special because it was Elise's very first time....so was the badminton training for Grace, that was not the first time, but was the first few....and it cracks me to see her many pose....as such, I used up the whole right page for photos and journaling for the painting session, and added an insert to slot in Elise's work of art...and the front side of the insert was a layout for Grace's badminton training....The left side was random, documenting the small and big of week 8 in our household....

This week, I used mostly circle/round elements in my pages.....and of course more experiment on the machine sewing.....

Project Life week 7

Another week had passed and here's yet another Project Life spread.
This week, when I looked at the photos taken, I thought there were more (at least more than normal) photos of the girls together....you see, I tend to have more photos of Elise for 2 reasons....(1) she's with me all the time, where as Grace has to go to school during the first half of the day and (2) Grace will run away every time she sees me with my iPhone, taking photos......so I was rather happy that I have more photos of them together....
And since this pass week was Valentine's Day week, I had our own "sister week" in my spread to record their love for each other....
I have 2 inserts this week, one for the 12 photos (which i cheated and taken on the 13th) for Take Twelve 2012 with the back page planned for Grace's excursion, which I'm still waiting for her school to upload the photos. The 2nd insert was a 5 x 7 slot for recording an interesting conversation with Grace with the back page a mini layout for our girls night out on Saturday....

Just to say it again....I really love this project....I can be creative and do what I like while recording the everyday memories....and here's why I am even more determined to keep up with Project Life.....Elise steal every opportunity to go near my project life album and will starts "jie jie" (means elder sister) and "mei mei" (means little sister) and whoever she can see in the photos....while Grace will ask me to read all the journalling to her...

Project Life week 6

Another week had passed....it's time again for Project Life!

This week, we take it easy and kinda relax a bit, after the vomiting spell last week. We had fun playing, eating, crafting and we had a birthday celebration.

Crafting wise, again I put my sewing machine to good use, and also some of my purchased digital elements. I created my own journal tags and I love it....will be creating more...

I have an insert this week, one side is Elise's guided drawing and another is Grace's happy family drawing.

Take Twelve 2012 February

Stumbled into this challenge at Ella Publishing Co...Take 12 photos on the 12th of each month...I found that it is pretty fun to do, so I have to do it...I missed January but it's ok.....

I plan to make a collage of these 12 photos and have it as an insert in my project life for week 7....

(gosh...I was typing this post and was already ready to post it, then I went in to nurse Elise and suddenly realized that today is the 13th not 12th...what was I thinking?...may be I thought I'm living in the United States...haha....Never mind, I'll just cheat a little for this month....grin...)

Well, here's the 12 photos....

1. Started off the day with a visit to the hospital...Elise for review, Grace for runny nose, sore throat and some rashes at her chin (which gave us a fright)

Project Life Week 5

This week, well was full of crafts and sickies. It started off with me having a real bad gastric...which later on turned out to be an upset tummy due to food poisoning, followed by Grace coming home from school claiming that she felt very cold....and her tummy ache too.....then in the afternoon the nightmare starts....Grace vomited...twice...and later while on our way back home from my parents....she messed up my car....ohhh.....while at home, it was my turn...then followed by having a real high fever....sigh....Wednesday was an oil-free meal day and everything seems to be on the better side....but wait...on Thursday, Elise got the vomiting spell and seems to be the most serious one....and finally on Friday, Elise was hospitalized...phew....what a week....
Having said that, it was a week with the least photos....but on the hand had the most (among the 5 weeks) memorabilia to be included in my Project Life pages....no insert for this week....

Project Life Week 4

I'm obviously late late late......it's supposed to be Tuesday, but it's now Thursday....
During normal weeks, I usually will start planning out my pages on Thursday and Friday, leaving enough spaces for the last day of my week, Saturday...if Saturday is loaded with photos...I will make some changes to my layout....but that normally does not happen (at least for now).....I may or may not also start printing my photos on Friday.....and as soon as my week ends on Saturday night...I will print out the rest of the photos and jump right in creating my pages....normally I will need another night (i.e. Sunday night) to complete the pages....the latest, my pages including inserts will be ready by Monday night.....
However, due to the festive season last week, and us being away at my parent's house during the end of last week....my routine needs to be changed....I did plan out my pages while at my parent's house...since there's extra hands taking care of my sticky glue....but when I hit home on Saturday night....all I did was sitting in front of my TV, catching up with episodes of TVB drama on Astro on Demand that I missed....and again on Sunday night for the grand finale.....grin...
And so I only finalizes my layout on Monday and printing out the photos...then miss Grace and I were sick due to food poisioning and on Tuesday I was drop dead tired and sick.....so, I only managed to get my pages done on Wednesday.....
Ahem....sorry for the above ramblings.....here's my pages...
I have an insert this week....on one side is favorite shots of Miss Elise (note..she kinda posses for these shots) and the other side was some sunset photos that my brother took during our beach outing....
Lots of reds this week.....RED is the color for Chinese New Year.......and this week, I've got the sewing bug....I took out my sewing machine and started sewing....
