Some cards to share

Oh dear....I thought little baby should be sleeping a lot (in the crib or bed) and I can make layouts and cards while she sleeps..... boy, I was so, so wrong. Little Elise does sleeps a lot during the day and night....but during day time, it was not in the crib or bed! It is in her mummy's cuddle! Lucky she sleeps in her little basket during the night. (err....I hope I'm not saying things too soon....else I will "die")

And so it was like this for the past 1 week or so. Mummy nurse her little baby, little baby suckle and suckle then fall asleep, Mummy thought "yeah, time for crafting", put her on her own little bed, little baby doesn't like it, mummy cuddle her back then try to put her on the bed again, little baby doesn't like it, mummy cuddle her back then try to put her on the bed again, and it goes on and on. Sometimes mummy did succeed, but it only lasted 15 minutes or the most 30 minutes. Sigh...sigh...sigh

Thus, I could only make some cards for the young adult fellowship in my church.

Grace's first visit to the hair saloon

Grace seriously needs a hair cut. Her last hair cut was a few months before me giving birth. During my confinement, I already thought her hair is kind of too long for a little girl (and my mom nagging me that Grace's hair is too long). So, as soon as I'm off the confinement "imprisonment" (haha), I took Grace to the hair saloon. Both of us had our turn.

I had my hair cut first, then Grace. Just to let her see and know that there's nothing to be afraid of. And, sure enough, Grace is very brace, she sit through her turn perfectly well. Here's some photos I took. Had to be content with just some reflection shot as I don't want to get in the way of the hair dresser.

Here's her with her new hair style.

Today

This is what happened today....

I woke up real early in the morning, get myself ready, pump my milk, had my breakfast. Then I make Grace's special milk.

Woke up Grace at about 7.20am. She had her milk and then only willing to go wash up at about 7.35am. By then, little Elise has waken up and screaming at the top of her little lungs for milk. Rushed Grace through her wash up and then get Elise to bath. Then off we go with my mother-in-law. Where to?

We sent Grace to school then head down to the hospital. And yeah, little Elise needs her follow up check on her jaundice level.

When at the hospital, waited a while for the doctor. The doctor is happy with Elise's appearance; she's pinkish now rather than yellowish earlier. So, to be on the safe side and to confirm that her jaundice level is down to normal, doctor ordered a last blood test. Off we go to the lab, took her blood sample and we headed home.

10 minutes after reaching our home sweet home, I received a call from the hospital. I thought it was from the doctor, but no. It was from the lab assistant. And you know what? Some how the tube broke when they were doing the test and that sample could not be use. What to do? We have to head down to the hospital again and Miss Elise has to undergo the prick on the heel again! Sigh....

And so we went down again, went straight to the lab and have her blood taken. This time they took 3 tubes instead of the normal 2. Fine.

And when we were on our way home, almost reaching, my phone rang, and it was from the hospital again. What now? I was relieve to hear the doctor's voice this time. And was even more relieve to hear that the test result is 29! Means? Elise is down to normal, no more jaundice! Woohooo.....Thank you Lord.

Good bye Jaundice!

Welcome

A simple scrapbook layout to welcome little Elise into our sweet family. This marks the beginning of scrapbooking for Elise and not forgetting continuing for Grace.

I had not been making layouts for like 11 months or so. When I first got pregnant, I lost all the mood and mojo to create, it slowly came back for cards and mini albums, but never for layouts. Good thing that I'm getting it slowly now, cause I really need to get all the memories documented.

This layout is a pretty simple one, completed it in about an hour. I guess for the time being, all layouts will be simple with minimum techniques as I prefer to get one completed while little Elise is sleeping rather than coming back again and again to the same unfinished project.

Well, here it is.

What to do when you have a bunch of stickers?

...............Stick 'em on mummy's arm!

Here's what Grace did to me on Monday afternoon, when she is suppose to be napping but was waken up by little Elise. Sigh....there goes my nap.

Luckily those are real cheap stickers and they are out of season right now...hehehe...

Happy One Month Old....

Not long ago I posted about the arrival of our bundle of joy, Elise and that was already a 1 month old history! Little Elise is now 1 month old!

From a birth weight of 2.76kg she had now grown to 3.71kg! Doctor commented that it was a really good weight gain. From a 49cm long, she is now 52cm long. Her head circumference increase by 3 cm to 36cm! (looking at this, I feel I'm back writing analysis, only that when I work, I analyse dollar numbers...hehehee)

As for her milestones:
- she could move her head from side to side, but prefer the right side
- when I put her on her stomach, she will stretch her legs and kick; if the surface happens to be slippery, e.g. the photo therapy box, and if she's really angry, she can kick and move herself round and round....hehehe...
- lots of jerky arm movements and will bring her hands to her face
- blinks at bright lights and could focus on object (like my face) placed close to her
- her favourite food.......mummy's milk

And now, feast your eyes on her photos......

The one-month-old likes to sleep like this
or like this
trying to make a smile for mummy?
notice her double chin?

I've been crafting....

Yay...the mood and mojo to create is back! I'm so happy, cause I've got lots and lots of mini albums and layout to complete. Have to get all those memories recorded!

I've created a simple 1st year month-to-month tag for a friend, whom is expecting her second son this September. (you know who you are....hehehe) Have actually got the tag mini album idea from Two Peas In a Bucket, A Mini Album A month: June series, here and the month-to-month recording idea from Elle's Studio month-to-month baby tags which I purchased, so as to record Elise's growth. Well, lifting ideas and then add in my own creativity, tada...I made my own version of the mini album. I've use mostly the products from my favourite brand, Cosmo Cricket. It's an older line (Lil' man), but still it is oh so nice!

Here's to wish hubby, Happy xxth Birthday! May you be blessed for the coming year, a good health, a smooth career, even more of His work, a good family!

Brother-in-law planned a surprise birthday party for hubby this afternoon. You see, hubby was on half day leave so as to be able to distribute the Full Moon packages (yes, Elise's full moon) to relatives, and we gave him a surprise when he's back for lunch.

Here's the happy man and the fabulous food (by brother-in-law).

The surprise or not so surprise look (he was on the phone!)
