Cards

Here's 2 cards I made these past few days (actually I made 3, but I could only disclose 2 at this moment).

The first card is for my blogger friend, Jane Matsumoto's friend, Amy's grandmother, Beatrice, whom is celebrating her 100th birthday this coming September. Amy asked Jane's help in accumulating 100 cards to be presented to her grandmother on her BIG day. So, I'm going to send this card all the way to Canada from Malaysia.

This card uses Sketch #003 from Twisted Sketch, with the twist of a fine bling. If you look at the close-up photos, you could see sort of a dimension in the flowers as well as the butterflies. I've used Ranger's Dimensional Pearls to create that. I'm not sure if that's consider a fine bling, but I will be submitting for the challenge anyway.

Materials: Core'dinations cardstock, Cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Ranger Dimensional Pearls, Basic Grey Porcelain collection die-cuts, and some alphas (I'm too lazy to go search the brand)

The second card is an easy Birthday card. All I did was die-cut and then emboss the four squares using my cuttlebug, sand it, then use foam adhesive for dimension, doodle around it then add in the ribbon.

Materials: Core'diantions cardstock, Bazzill cardstock, Cuttlebug Birthday embossing folder, Cuttlebug Stamp die-cut.

My little artist!

I don't know where Grace gets her drawing talent! Both hubby and I can't draw (or may be we can, just not discovered?!?) For some reason, I found that she's very interested in this area (drawing, crafting, colours) than in other areas, of course, she's also very much talented in singing. You would be amazed with how many song lyrics she could memorized! Well, back to the drawing part, she's always on the look out for my crafting things and will bug me really well to get her hands on it. Yesterday she had a great time with my dimensional pearls (but unfortunately, I don't have photos taken). Anyway, here's some of her recent drawings.

Here's 3 photos of her smiley faces (with body and feet),
which she saw in her Hi-5

Take a guess what this is.
I initially thought it was some kind of a balloon.
Then Grace told me, it's a rubbish bin with a broken lamp in it! LOL

Some layouts to share

Here's a layout on the easiness of Grace clicking with just about anyone (as long as they are kiddies). For some reason, Grace is extra loving to those younger than her. She will care for them, hug them and kiss them. This layout features 4 different kiddo, Isaiah (cousin), Amos (cousin), Fidel (a friend) and Yu Xin (cousin).

Materials: Basic Grey porcelain collection pp, diecut flower using Jenni Bowlin Vintage Black bookprint paper then inking with Tim Holtx distress ink, then using eyelet to adhere to the pp, American craft thicker alpha, darkroom door tag and brads.

Second layout is about Fidel, my friend's Liana's son. The layout document the reason and purpose behind naming him Fidel. Very meaningful.

Materials: Basic Grey porcelain collection pp, the paper company white cardstock, Tim Holtz Distress inks, American craft thicker alphas, Making Memories tiny alpha, Maya Road Boys chipboard.

Crazy Duo

This is a fun topic. Take a guess whose the crazy duo!

Not me, definitely. They are none other than the crazy little girl, Grace and her daddy! When both of them are playing, you will be shocked knowing what they were playing or imagining. Sometimes there's this breakfast cooking and eating (using not relevant items as the food and utensils), horse riding (on daddy's back, sometimes mommy gets to be the horse too), helicopter using the bolster (try imagine how this works!), of course there are many more, which I can't possibly remember.

But there's this one that I must mention. A few days back, both father and daughter were playing in the room, when daddy called out for mommy. When there, Grace showed me her "camera" (which was a rectangle digital game from McDonald's) and how she sets the camera on timer and then run over to her daddy, post (be sure to see her "V" sign), both making the "ti ti ti ti" sound (imitating the beep on the camera) and snap, photo taken. LOL!

So, mommy can't help but bring her real photo to snap these crazy duo (so that she can put together the below layout) and then join in the fun. Make it the "Crazy Family". Hahhaaa.....

(warning to not crafting friends, this portion is purely the details on the crafting side)
Ok, now let's talk on the crafting side. This layout serve 3 to 4 purposes. First (which is the most important one), for memory keepsake. Second, using sketch 002 from Twisted Sketches, thus entering their challenge. Third, using a black background, for the challenge at Color Me Daisy. And forth, I uses new techniques learned from Two Peas In a Bucket Thinking Inking class with Jennifer McGuire, thus also submitting for their challenge. Wow!

Now let's talk a little on the second and forth purpose.

Second
: Here's the sketch from Twisted Sketches and the twist for this sketch is to use at least 1 diecut shape. In my layout, there are 3 diecut shape. One is the blue stripes of diecut stamp edges (cut out from a diecut paper); Two is the 2 die cut stamps which is cut using my Cuttlebug.

Forth: There's this free 9-week Thinking Inking class over at Two Peas In a Bucket and I had been following. Part 1 of week 2, Jennifer was teaching this Faux Wax seal and Faux Epoxy technique. So, I thought of giving it a try. You could see the faux wax seal on the diecut stamp at the bottom left while the partial faux epoxy is the one with the heart and word "LOVE". Have not master it yet. Will try on it some more.

Twisted Sketches

Stumble upon this site a couple of days earlier. It's a new sketch challenge blog, with a little extra twist to the sketch. They'd only started 2 sketches. Well, I decided to play along and this is my interpretation of Sketch 001, with the twist of having some kind of ribbon on the layout.

It's on little Grace, dressing in Cheongsam. She's such a beauty queen, that she's willing to let me put on the button on the collar, without any complain after that. And she even asked to wear the same dress when we want to go shopping, dinner/lunch/breakfast, to the park, etc....grin, grin.
Materials: Core'dinations cardstock, Basic Grey Porcelain collection pp, Basic Grey Porcelain collection alphas, Bloom Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder, Inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks, red-packets, IKEA flowers

Father's Day Special!

First of all, Happy Father's Day to all!

To show my appreciation to the 2 most important men of my life, I've made a card for each of them.

First, this card is for my Dad. Thanking him for raising me and caring for me. Also, thanking him for the special bond he share with Grace. In the small pocket inside the card, I slot in some cash as an "ang pow" for him to buy anything that he wants.

Then this second card is made on behalf of Grace for her daddy, whom is like a big tree to both me and Grace for us to lean upon. And the sentiment says it all, he's the Best Daddy Ever! (and that little girl there is Grace..hehehe)

Both cards are made with lots of love and *heart*!

Materials:
Card 1 - Core'dinations card stock, Basic Grey porcelain collection pp, Qtea kit vintage paper, Flair Design alphas, Rose Moka alphas, Darkroom Door tag
Card 2 - Core'dinations card stock, Basic Grey porcelain collection, Darkroom Door alpha stamps (stamped, embossed and cut out), lots of Tim Holtz Distress Inks, dry embossing using Cuttlebug

Happy Mail - 2nd

My second happy mail has arrived. Thank you Avina! It's a kit from Qtea, full of special embelishment.

Here's a few photos taken (with "not so good" lighting).

This looks like FUN!

This is what Grace gets to play this morning. The picture says it all!!!

Now, that's what I call Country-Lifestyle!

Thursday

There I go again. Late in my post. Anyway, here's a quickie of today's activities.

I was bidding for a set of 12 packet of ProvoCraft Cuttlebug dies, which ended this morning. Could you believe it? The starting bid price was only US$2.00. It was a tough bidding between a few bidders, whom are all very eager to get these hug lot of dies at such a low price. I've check and if these are to purchased from my local store, it will cost RM1+++! So, last night (or maybe it should be this morning at 3.30am) I placed my bid at US$35.00 and went to bed, with the plan to wake up early to place last minute bid if necessary. Unfortunately, I overslept and only woke up about 10 minutes after the bidding close. And it was sold for US$40!!!! Never mind, save money!

Then Grace and I went over to my parents house. Grace had a blast of time there doing a whole lot of things. Riding on her bicycle (yes, my dad bought her one a few weeks ago), playing with alphabet mats, "repairing" her bicycle (with real screwdriver and spanner), changing the aquarium water (and yes, we bought a few weeks ago), some exercise at the park, hula-hooping, pretending to be animals, and making music. Wait till you see her version of making music.

And as for me, I had durians for breakfast, had durians for lunch and had durian for dinner. Huh?!? I also get some time on the internet when Grace is playing with my parents. One thing I need to note her, I bought her the hula-hoop today. She took it and tried it. Of course she couldn't, and take a guess what does she say.

"This is a fake one!"LOL

Well, we're staying overnight here at my parent's place, so no crafting tonight! And I can't share on the layout that I did yesterday, cause I don't have my camera with me here to load the photo.

But I will leave you with the video of Grace making music (today), her bike and her fishes (taken earlier).

Happy Mail - 1st

It seems forever for this happy mail to reach me, though it's just over a week. Finally today, a ring on the door bell and here's my happy mail. Will see if I get the chance to play with some of them tonight.

And since I'm here, I'm just gonna share on 2 cards that I made for my church (to send out to other churches). For this first one, I played with Distress Inks, used it on the tag and the flowers. Loved how it gives endless possibilities.
This second one, I used Ranger Adirondack Dye Inks (Rust) on my embossing folder and then run it through my cuttlebug (a technique I saw on YouTube). See how the dry embossed patterns shows out!

Grace can cut!

I'd noticed this 3 or 4 weeks ago but had not blog on it yet. Some how, I'm very much at peace to allow Grace to try on the scissors, so long as there's someone supervising her. She'd been introduced to normal as well as decorative scissors at very young age. The process of learning goes on from, having no clue at all on how to hold the scissors, to holding the scissors but staring hard at me on how to make it move, to opening the scissors with both hand and then snap it shut the right way (cutting once on the paper, then tear the rest), to cutting the right way from one end to the other!

A long process it is, but she finally gets there. And today, I tested to see if she's able to follow a line when cutting paper. But she showed me even more! She draw her own rectangle then she cuts out the rectangle all by herself. Grace, I'm so very proud of you! I'm gonna scrap these photos real soon.

Making Friends

Friday (again, a back-dated post), I brought Grace down to the recreational area at our condominium. She told me she wants to play slide and swing at the playground. When we were just entering the area, we met Simon, our property manager, whom always offer Grace sweets whenever we meet him. So, Grace happily followed him to his office and took 2 sweets.

While we were at the playground, Grace passed the sweets to me for me to hold on to it, while telling me that she will eat it when we go back upstairs. Then, this little girl just sat and sat and sat at the mini staircase to the slide. So, I asked why she's not playing. She told me, she'd finished playing and want to go back home. Already?!? Knowing my own daughter, I gave her the sweets and she then happily played, until.....a bunch of little girls came swimming.

Again, she stood and stood and stood there staring at the bunch of little girls. I told her, we're not swimming cause we'd just went for a swim on Thursday. So she settled (for a moment) with just playing water by the side of the baby pool. One of the little girl came and played with her, which made her a little happier. Later, I saw the big disappointment and longing in her face and finally decided to get changed and join the little girls in the pool.

Wow, you must see her excitement. I don't have my camera with that time, but it was something like 5 times the excitement in the below photos.

She then played happily. The little girl (maybe 4 or 5 years of age) that played with her earlier, came and talked to Grace. Here's their conversation:

Little girl: 你是什么学校的? (which school did you go to?) 我是 kiddiland 的。(my school is kiddiland)
**some how Grace got the questions wrongly
Grace: 钱佳韵 (pronounced "qian jia yun" - her Chinese name) LOL

Then the little girl went to play with other little girls.

The very next day, Grace was calling that little girl, "Kiddiland 姐姐" (pronouced "jie jie" meaning elder sister). So, I explained to her that the girl is asking her the school rather than her name. Then Grace said, "我的学校是教会" (meaning, my school is church)! Hmmm...not bad, at least she knows!

A little something to share

As usual, I'm a little late in making my post. This time, a little later means 1 day. I wanted to share this on Saturday, but I didn't. So I make it at the very last few minutes of today.

On Saturday, Grace wanted to have a crafting session. So we went into our little shared study room cum my craft room for that particular session.

Mummy: What do you want to do? I'll give you scissors and paper, ok?
Grace: No. I want to do mummy's craft! (Mummy 的手工, pronounced "de shou gong")
Mummy: Ok, which one? (she's played with my clear stamps too)
Grace: The one that you put the thing in then roll, roll, roll. Nah (pointing to the shelf that I store my machine), there!
Mummy: (Gosh, she wants my cuttlebug and even knows where I store it!) Ok, let's decorate your album.

And so, we die cut and emboss some flowers and then some swirls. When we were ready to put all the pieces together, hubby and mother-in-law wanted to go buy durians and being Grace, she wanted to follow but still wants to decorate her album. So she told me, she's gonna finish the album when she's back. Her mummy, being an impatient lady (especially when it comes to completing her craft), couldn't wait longer for the kiddo to be back, so I started putting all the pieces together (to form a nice layered flower) and then glue it in place. Knowing Grace may ask for it when she returns, I left out two for her to glue it on. I tidy up the place a little.

Sure enough, when that little girl returns, she immediately cried when she saw the tidy room. "I want to glue, I want to glue!" I quickly took out the leftover and let her complete the masterpiece. But, gluing 2 pieces of flower is NOT ENOUGH! She wants some more, so no choice, I let her help with putting down the letters for the album title.

Here's her in action. Followed by "her" (as she claimed to her daddy and later to our visitors) masterpiece. Then followed by her first album, which is now containing 50 layouts and is very heavy.

And I thought it will be also good to share some pictures of my craft area/ room. It's a shared study for the family. In the morning, Grace will have her learning and play session here as well, and during late night, it's my creative space. (Ta Chie, here's a sneak of my new place that you have not had a chance to see)..err that's a note to my elder sister, whom is my faithful blog follower.

Here's the room. It's a small room. You could see
Grace's mini table, chair and her toy car!

This is the table for my computer, printer and of
course the place where I work on.

Here's the open shelf with my magazines and albums.

Here's the cupboard full of my "treasures", which
initially started off with just the maroon/brown case.

That cupboard is not enough. Here's another drawer full of goodies.

Turning 31

Who says "real age" is women's top secret? To me, nah...you want to know it, you have it. I'm 31! That's nothing so special or "pantang" to let people know my age. Afterall, you could easily guess I'm not that young if you meet me in person! Hahaha....

Well, here's just a simple layout I did, also for Colour Me Daisy challenges on me "turning 31". It's not a milestone kind of layout, but more of like me asking myself, whether I'm doing good all these years. Not going to type out the journalling, if you can read from the photo, then read it, it not, sorry.

Cut out flowers from bits and pieces of scrap papers, then I use foam double sided tape for a raised effect.

Materials: Core'dinations cardstock, American Craft thickers alphas (could you see that the "t" is cut out from "f" as i don't have "t" left?), the outside of Making Memories Delaney Circle Flower Die-Cut, various buttons, and bit and pieces of scrap pattern paper

Toilet training!!!

I know, I know. I'd blog on this numerous time, here, here and here. And now, I'm still writing on it. It's a process that takes time and one that you can't push too hard on.

Initially, I was pushing Grace too hard on this too. And she will often get scolding from me whenever she made a puddle on the floor. I keep on asking myself, how could I make it easier for both of us. Then I came across this "friend's" post, and I got the idea.

I told Grace that she will be given a treat whenever she notify me of her "wee wee" need and then wee in her potty. And so it all begun. She was excited. And so it went on smoothly. At one point, she even manipulate the treat offer. Whenever I asked her if she wants to "wee wee", she would tell me no. But seconds later, she will tell me she's got the need to. Then, there's the treat (you see, I told her, she will only get her treat if she tells me not when I ask her to).

Nevertheless, the treat giveaway really does the trick. Now she's almost 95% trained and now the treat part is not so important anymore. She sometimes forgot to ask for one too. Next month, I will start to let her go diaper-less whenever we're out. Let's hope for the best!

This and that

Since the very first day I started blogging, I've never had a post that talked about bits and pieces of many things or events. All my post (ahem..I'm proud of it) were given proper title (*-* grin). But today, I feel like talking a little (in fact very brief) of everything that took place for the past 3 days. It was a long weekend for hubby as he had a replacement holiday today in celebration of Agong's Birthday and surprisingly there's no work phone calls for him these 3 days!

Not going to mention Saturday's events. You could read it from here. On Sunday, like any other Sunday, we went to church for our Sunday Service. After which, hubby had a committee meeting. Grace and I waited with other youngsters (waiting for their parent's or transport) for almost 2 hours. On the way back, we bought economy rice for lunch. At home, we ate the rice. It was already 3pm then, so we headed to the room for afternoon nap. Guess what? Grace thinks otherwise. So, again mummy and daddy had their nap, with a background "music" of Grace singing, talking and laughing all by herself.

At 5pm, we drove off to Youth Park for our outdoor activities. There, hubby played caption with the rest of the gang, while I took Grace to the children playground. Then we played ball. After that, we went for dinner at a coffee shop (err...or maybe a food court).

Back home, took our bath and the adults again, wanted Grace to go to bed (considering she did not take her afternoon nap when she woke up at 8.15am in the morning). Being a kid, she objects. Off course, the adults won. And within like 30 minutes, she knock-off. Then it was total "freedom" for the mummy! Hubby went out to relax at Starbucks while mummy dive into her obsession, scrapbooking!

This morning, I decided not to go out for breakfast as I was expecting something to be delivered. So hubby and mother-in-law took Grace out. I was hoping to get some time to surf the internet, but ended up "cleaning" my room (my room is not that dirty, just there's dust everywhere as there are many renovation going on), sweeping the floor and peel and cut the mangos (all 5 of them ripe). This I had to go a little detail. As I was peeling the mango, I remembered, long time ago, when I was young, my siblings and I used to fight over who gets to eat the mango seed. And I was laughing away this morning, now I get to eat all 5 seeds! Finished the "cleaning" up the seeds, I went to "my" craft room, sat on the chair, touch a key on my computer and "click" the wooden door of my house crack open and in came the little girl! And I was hoping I get to surf the internet!

Grace only nap for about 30 minutes and the whole afternoon, she was making whirlwind in the house. Went shopping awhile in the evening. Again, Grace protested when I wanted to tuck her to bed at 9.30pm. And again, she knock-off after about 30 minutes.

Now something on my obsession. I mentioned above, I was expecting something. It was some of my scrapbook materials, needed an embossing pad to use with my CuttleBug. And there's a Junkitz Tool Bag designed by Tim Holtz included in the package. It's a free gift from Scrap-n-crop.com for purchases about RM300 (remember, I bought lots of tools earlier). Love the tool bag. It now houses my cutting tools and punches.

And here's a layout I did in the afternoon.
Sketch #23 from 52 sketches...52 weeks
Materials: Core'dinations cardstock, Tim Holtz idea-ology Grungeboard alphas (inked it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fired Brick), Autumn Leaves Stampology Floral Border clear stamp, nature wrapping paper from my stash, flower from Scrappingchix

Playing Bride

Last weekend, we had a few weddings to attend to and so, Grace (with the help of her uncle and aunt) got into the mood of playing bride! She was so excited and requested for a long "tail". If I tie it to short, she will "snarl" (a little exaggerate) at me. When the "tail" got all crumple up, she "snarl" at me again. Hahaha....

This layout is for the Scrappin Kids Sketch #3 challenge.

Journalling: We had a few wedding to attend that weekend. So you got into the mood (with the help of your "shu shu" & "shen shen") to become the bride yourself. Gave us a good time of laugh. You even shocked us saying that you are getting married.

Materials: Core'dinations cardstock, Autumn Leaves Heather Bailey pp, KI Memories Hula Hot Pink Lace cardstock, Maya Road Calendar Turns - 100% girl, Maya Road Noah Chipboard Alpha coloured with Loew Cornell Metallic Acrylic Colour - Ruby, Rhonna Farrer Autumn Leaves Clear Stamp - Pansy

Grace, how could you be so energetic?

Today we let Grace sleep in a little late, just because I made her wake up at 5.30am to take medicine and she could only dozed off half an hour later. After which, she was full of energy for almost the whole day!

We went for brunch then shopping. At the mention of shopping, Grace just sparks up. After shopping, I went down to my uncle's place to get some flowers for tomorrow. There, Grace was having fun looking at the fishes and cycling. Then we went to a local stationery shop to get some envelopes before heading home. It was almost 2pm when we finally reached the comfort of our home.

We decided to have another round of food, guess it should be lunch-tea, of just bread, egg and ham. Grace enjoyed the ham. It was then time for afternoon nap. That's what the adults think! Not the kiddo! She wants to play BALL! So daddy had to play with her, while mummy hang the clothes.

Later, both mummy and daddy couldn't "help" it anymore, and we decided to take our rest and nap, hoping Grace would slowly go to sleep when there's no one to entertain her. Well, think again! I was half asleep (it's my habit, I couldn't really doze off when I know Grace is still awake, for fear that she might be caught up in dangerous actions), and we were so, so wrong about Grace. She continued to play and play and play, talk and talk and talk, pretend and pretend and pretend. Sleep and sleep and sleep is just not in her to-do-list!

At certain point, Grace came to me and said, "Let daddy sleep. Come on, we go outside." The mummy, speechless!

Finally we gave up. And guess what? At about 5.45pm, Grace got scolded from me (not going to details), cried and went straight on to dreamland. Sigh.

She was asleep for about 45 minutes and she was up and jumping around again.

What time did she go to bed tonight? 10.50pm! What did she do before that? Playing lots of games with daddy!

Happy Father's Day!

You must be thinking, aren't it a little early for this post? Well, when it comes to remembering and honouring our fathers, everyday is father's day. And, when there's a reason and idea to scrap, there's never a time too late or a time too early!

Well, in celebrating Father's Day in June, Scrap-n-Crop.com's kit club has put together a "Dad My Hero" kit for June. Being a member of the club, the kit was mailed to me together with my other purchase on Wednesday. When I first open up the kit, I looked at it and then go blank! It was totally not my style at all. I like bright colours, girlish and flowery style, not brown, vintage and boyish style! I looked and looked and looked again. What to do with all these? This is really a challenge to me.

Well, after going through the kit over and over and over again, I finally "saw" this piece of patterned paper and I knew what I can do with it. This,Journalling ~ Your daddy's shoulder is always your shoulder to cry on whenever I scold you. And daddy is always the one carrying you when there's a lot of walking to do. Always remember that daddy is always there for you and now he works so hard, all because of you. Daddy used to be afraid of flying insects, but now, so as to protect you, he overcome his fear. Remember, Your Daddy is Your Hero!

Materials: Fancy Pants Designs Papa Title Stips pp, Sharon Ann family stickers, My Mind's Eye Growing Up tag, Rose Moka Alpha, the photo mat and swirls were embossed and die cut respectively using my new CuttleBug.

What to do with the rest of the materials in the kit? Well, I planned to make a vintage family album, "The Chees" Mini Album. Now collecting all the photos and once done I will set sail and create!

Check out my birthday post!

Reserved a slot for my birthday post on June 1st, 2009 but could only make the post today as I only received my birthday presents today. So go check it out here.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

Wow!

Is today a great day? Yes, yes, yes!

Guess what?

First, I receive an email from Avina, congratulating me that I won her blog candy over at Crafting in a crazy world. Thank you so much Avina. This is indeed my first time ever winning a candy over the internet. I will have a post later on when I receive the prize.

Second, for those whom had been following my blog, you may know that I've been submitting numerous layouts to the Color Me Daisy "Be Happy" May 2009 Online Crop challenges over the pass few weeks. And today, after putting my little Grace to her afternoon nap, I checked my email and there it was an email notifying me that I am one of the winners. I will be expecting a Basic Grey Porcelain Collection Kit.

Woohoo
....I will be anticipating 2 happy mails!

Two wins in a day! Great! And today, the mail man delivered a parcel of scrapbooking stuff to my door. These, although were selected and ordered by myself, they were paid jointly by sister, brother, parents and mother-in-law as a birthday present for me. Have not had a chance to see the stuff physically yet, will have to play with them when I return home tonight. Stay tune for a photo of these items.

Each Other

I can't possibly stress more on how grateful and thankful I'm to God for blessing me with this precious little girl. Though many times, I were mad at her, there are even more times when I'm in love with her. She really brings lots of joy and laughter not only to me and hubby but also to both our families. She's a gem to her grandparents, her aunts, her uncles, her everyone. She's a precious to me!

I'm so so so so (infinity times) glad that we have EACH OThER.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is my birthday, I'll cry if I want to ?!? No way! Who's crying on one's birthday? Definitely not me. Though my birthday was not as planned, I'm still accepting it with a big smile and feel blessed.

Grace was not feeling well for the pass few days, cough and running nose. She'd recover from her earlier fever, but then continue with cough and running nose. On Friday I started her all over again on the medicine. Then this morning, she'd got slight fever and we decided to take her to the doctors again. What a way to start your birthday!

Initially it was planned that Moses take leave on my birthday so that he could help care for Grace while I can scrap till I drop. Now, with Grace not feeling well, not a chance! So, my day continued with cooking lunch for Grace and trying to make her sleep the whole afternoon.

During evening, we headed out for shopping in Gurney Plaza. I wanted to get a handbag. Window shopped and found nothing. Worst still, I get scolding, from hubby? Nope, get scolding from Grace when I make any attempt to enter a shop. Sigh....then the moment I step inside Toys R Us, Grace was running ahead of me into the shop...sigh sigh sigh...

Nevertheless, Grace somehow got into a better mood during dinner. We had dinner at a seafood restaurant, Bali Hai, which let you choose live seafood. Grace decided to feed herself throughout the dinner. And she enjoyed the dinner too. Phew.....

Well, here's some photos of the food to share. Then a photo of my birthday present, jointly presented by my sister, brother, parents and mother-in-law. I did had a great birthday after all.
